Self Advocacy Network

The Network has been set up to give a louder voice to people with a learning disability in Hampshire.

We aim to help as many people as possible have their say on local and national issues and co-ordinate responses to represent the wide range of views and experiences.

We will also be supporting people to become Peer Experts and Champions to share their experiences with others.

Join us today for FREE and get:

♦ support from an Advocate in person or online to give feedback or take part in consultations or surveys  (including easy read materials, ideas for structured conversations and sessions, ‘pop up’ sessions at existing groups or services)

♦ opportunities to become Peer Experts and Champions on a wide range of social care and health issues

♦ the chance to have your voice heard on the issues that are important to you

Membership is open to the following people in Hampshire:

  • advocacy groups
  • service user groups or forums
  • day services
  • care and support providers
  • people with a learning disability who aren’t part of groups or services
  • family carers of people with complex needs

We want to include everyone in Hampshire so welcome applications from groups and services that are not specifically for learning disability but may have some members with a learning disability
