We are a consortium of community based, independent organisations that have been providing county wide statutory and non statutory advocacy in Hampshire since the 1990s, working together since 2007. We offer a blended advocacy approach including instructed, non instructed, rights based, self advocacy and peer advocacy to over 5,000 people a year.
Consortium members are part of local communities and networks for the voluntary and statutory sector including specialist and mainstream services. They include Trustees with experience of services and family carers.
We share expertise across a flexible workforce of over 40 staff with a range of professional qualifications and experience in areas such as social work, health, law, youth work and business.
All our advocates have achieved or are working towards the Independent Advocacy Award . All consortium members work to the Advocacy Code of Practice and use the NDTI Advocacy Outcomes to evidence the impact of our work. We are signed up to the Hampshire Learning Disability Charter.
We work as a strategic partner with the local authority and health, including at Board membership level, in order to influence and effect change on behalf of the vulnerable adults and children we work with.
